Community in Niger State.

In honour of International Women’s Day, Olaedo Naturals is collaborating with Pishon Health
to improve access to gynaecological healthcare services for the women of Bida shea
community in Niger state. These wonderful women are the powerhouse of our most
cherished body butter; the wonder behind the lustrous skin of thousands of our Olaedo
women.
Starting today, Olaedo naturals pledges to donate 20% of all body butter sales made
throughout the month of March to the Bida shea community. This donation will allow us to
provide vital medical check-ups and healthcare support to these hard working women.
Globally, women in low resource communities face significant barriers to accessing
gynaecological care. In particular, older women are at risk of developing conditions such as
Polycystic ovarian syndrome, vulvovaginal inflammation, genital prolapse, and
postmenopausal disorders which can lead to poor quality of living and poor economic
outcomes for these women and their families.
“There needs to be inclusivity in our celebration of the International Women’s Day and
month. It’s a time to celebrate all women and not just the high achievers,” said Mopelola,
Founder of Pishon Health. “The women of the Bida shea community are resilient; always
working in spite of hardships to impact Olaedo naturals and many other businesses in the
beauty industry. Improving their access to care is a way of protecting their health which is
key for their socioeconomic development and overall wellbeing.”
We believe that empowering women and improving their access to healthcare services is
crucial to their overall well-being and the growth of their communities and together with
Pishon Health, Bida women will have access to quality primary care.
“We are excited to partner with Pishon Health in our mission to improve women’s health in
the Bida shea community,” said Chidera Ogbu, CEO of Olaedo naturals. “This partnership
will help us provide the necessary healthcare services that will make a significant impact in
the lives of these women.”
Join us in our mission to support the women of Bida shea community as we celebrate
women in this month. Would you love to support our mission, send us an email – we can’t
wait to hear from you.
